Synopsis：
The mountain city, used to be called the Little Shanghai and the Little Hong Kong
during the Qing Dynasty, has become famous due to the movie “Bei Qing Cheng Shi
” (City of Sorrow). The unadorned, nostalgic streets are now no longer sorrowful; during
the holidays, visitors flock to the old streets for sightseeing. On both sides of the old street
there are many handicraft shops, snack shops and teahouses. Caozai Guo, Yuzai Guo as
well as cold and hot Yuyuans are some of the must-taste snacks when visiting Jiufen. The Shengping Theater, Wu Fan Keng, the nearby Taizi Inn and the Gold Museum are full of nostalgic memories. When tired of walking, find a teahouse and enjoy a cup of good tea,
while taking in the splendor of the scenery at the mountain city!

Transportation way
■Populace transportation 1.From Taipei, board the bus at Zhonglun, take the Dayou Bus towards Jinguashi, then get off at Jiufen Station. The total time is roughly 2 hours. 2.From Keelung, take the Keelung Bus towards Jinguashi, get off at Jiufen Station, total time is approximately 40 minutes. 3.Take the Eastern Mainline and get off at Ruifang Station, then take the Keelung Bus or Dayou Bus towards Jinguashi, then get off at Jiufen Station. The total time is roughly 20 minutes.
■ Voluntarily drives
1.Take the northbound highway, get off at the Northeast Coast off ramp at 2.5km, connect to Provincial Highway No.

2 Ding. After passing the 10.5km mark, pass the Juifang Bridge, do not take the tunnel and turn right immediately to connect to County Rd. No. 102 to reach Jiufen. 2.From Keelung, take the Provincial Highway No. 2 to Ruibin, take the industrial road next to Ruibin gas station and drive up the mountain.

3.From Muzha, Shengkeng, and Shiding, pass County Road No. 106 to Ruifang before turning into Jiufen.

4.From eastern Taiwan, take the Provincial Highway No. 2 to Fulong, turn left and take the County Road No. 102, pass Gongliao and Shuangqi.
